Countries of the World

Join our class as we explore the great countries from around the world using a variety of resources (print media, websites, and videos).  Along the way our expectation is to develop and share a more comprehensive understanding of the similarities and differences that make our world so unique.  Our research will be guided by our exploration of the following elements:

• Geographic Features (landforms)
• Culture (celebrations, foods, clothing, and customs)
• Climate (distinguish between seasonal weather and daily weather)
• Recreation (culturally significant activities such as sports, games, entertainment...)

At the conclusion of our research, we will create an informational brochure (modeled after a travel pamphlet) with the purpose of informing our audience and possibly persuading them to want to learn more about the particular country.
